Prayagraj: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) on Tuesday declared the results of the preliminary examination for eight subjects under the Assistant Professor Recruitment Exam-2025 for govt colleges. A total of 4,936 candidates have been provisionally declared successful for the main examination.The preliminary examination for the recruitment was held on May 31. With the declaration of results for these eight subjects, the commission has now released the preliminary examination results for all 28 subjects included in the recruitment.The subjects announced on Tuesday are Botany, Physical Education, Political Science, Psychology, Music (vocal), Music (instrumental-tabla), Sociology and Statistics.Political science recorded the highest number of successful candidates, with 1,071 candidates qualifying for the main examination against 57 posts. In botany, 1,166 candidates were declared successful for 79 posts, while 947 candidates qualified in sociology against 78 posts.In physical education, 687 candidates qualified against 59 posts, and in psychology, 445 candidates were shortlisted for 31 posts. As many as 95 candidates qualified in music (vocal) for six posts, while 47 candidates were declared successful in music (instrumental-tabla) against four posts.In statistics, 20 candidates qualified for the main examination against two posts. The successful candidates will now appear for the next stage of the recruitment process.
