Prayagraj: Chandra Prakash Upadhyay and Santosh Kumar Mishra were elected president and secretary, respectively, of the Allahabad High Court Bar Association on Friday.Upadhyay defeated his nearest rival, PC Srivastava, by a margin of 74 votes. For the post of secretary, Mishra defeated Rai Sahab Yadav by 283 votes.According to chief returning officer and senior advocate SFA Naqvi, polling was held on Sept 17, while the results were declared on Friday after the completion of the counting process.Returning Officer Vashishtha Tiwari said counting for the remaining posts would begin on Saturday (Sept 26).
