Patna: As many as 55 employees from four state universities underwent a week-long training programme on office management at Deep Narayan Singh Regional Cooperative Management Institute in Patna. The training concluded on Sunday.The participating universities were Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University, Darbhanga; Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara; Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Persian University, Patna; and Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga.During the training, participants were given detailed inputs on the Bihar Service Code, budgeting, accounts, administrative procedures and other aspects of office management. Senior officials from finance department, directorate of chief inquiry commissioner and Bihar Lok Bhavan served as resource persons and trainers.The programme was aimed at strengthening the administrative capabilities of university employees by familiarising them with govt rules, office procedures and financial and administrative processes.Officials said such training would help improve efficiency and ensure greater familiarity with procedures among employees handling day-to-day administrative work in universities.Meanwhile, the selection process for the second batch of participants is under way. The next training programme is scheduled to commence on Oct 5, 2026.
