Chennai: An unknown miscreant set fire to a govt bus parked at the fourth platform of Koyambedu bus stand at night. Though it was initially thought to be an accidental fire, CCTV clippings showed the man setting the vehicle ablaze deliberately.The man was seen setting fire to a piece of paper outside the bus and then placing it inside the vehicle.
A complaint was filed by Gopi Shankar, branch manager of the Poonamallee workshop, following which the CMBT police registered a case and launched an investigation. Officers are examining the CCTV footage to identify and trace the suspect. A search is ongoing.TNN
