Rohtak: The All India Democratic Youth Organisation (AIDYO) staged a protest in the city on Sunday over issues such as deliberately keeping sanctioned posts vacant, declaring all candidates ineligible, rising unemployment, and various problems faced by youth. The protesters marched to the DC Office, raised slogans, and submitted a memorandum addressed to minister Nayab Saini and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.AIDYO state president Balwan Singh said that in the name of recruitment, posts are being deliberately left vacant. The youth of the state are being branded as “ineligible”. In a very calculated manner, a large number of posts in recruitments such as assistant professor, computer teacher, and other categories were left unfilled. He termed this as extremely condemnable and alarming.
AIDYO district convener Harish Saini said that employment should be made a fundamental right. He stated that, due to continuously rising unemployment and irregularities in recruitment processes, the youth are deeply dissatisfied. “Unemployment in the state is at its peak, paper leaks are occurring frequently, and instead of creating new employment opportunities, existing posts are being abolished,” he said. Saini demanded from the central and state govts that the problems of youth be addressed seriously. He urged the govt to immediately fill vacant posts, grant employment the status of a fundamental right, ensure that posts are not left vacant, remove barriers such as age limits, and guarantee employment opportunities for all.
