Shimla: Himachal Pradesh deputy chief minister Mukesh Agnihotri on Wednesday announced that the first groundbreaking ceremony for the proposed Rs 2,200-crore Bulk Drug Park in Una district will be held in Sept, with infrastructure works worth nearly Rs 1,000 crore already tendered.Agnihotri said the state govt remained committed to the project and expressed confidence that it would significantly boost industrial growth and the regional economy.The announcement came during the launch of Nestle India’s Integrated Rural Development Project at Nangal Kalan in Haroli, Una district. Implemented in partnership with the SM Sehgal Foundation, the initiative will benefit over 9,000 residents across six villages through programmes focused on water conservation, sanitation, agriculture, nutrition, education, skill development and community empowerment.Agnihotri urged Nestle India to expand its Tahliwal manufacturing unit and align its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives with local development needs. He also called on industries in Haroli to prioritise nearby communities under CSR programmes.
