I will take legal action against those who shared and published them. This also includes anyone from my department who leaked the clips,” Shankar said.Udupi police have arrested several people in connection with the D’Souza murder case. He was the owner of Prince Enterprises and former gram panchayat president, and was shot dead around 3.45pm at Mudarangady on Aug 7.According to the police investigation, the murder was allegedly linked to a dispute over multi-crore pipeline and concrete road contracts being executed by Udupi Power Corporation Ltd (UPCL) within the limits of Yermal gram panchayat. Private contractor Kishore Ram Poojary, who had previously undertaken works at UPCL, was reportedly interested in securing the contracts. However, the tenders were awarded to D’Souza, allegedly leading to resentment. Kishore is suspected of plotting D’Souza’s murder with the help of his brother, Hemanth Poojary, who is suspected of having underworld links. The brothers allegedly hired contract killers to execute the murder.
