Patna: Two young women died in a road accident after a speeding car allegedly rammed into their two-wheeler on NH-27 (Muzaffarpur-Darbhanga four-lane) in Muzaffarpur district on Saturday afternoon. The accident occurred near Adigopalpur Chowk under Bochaha police station area.According to eyewitnesses, both the two-wheeler and the car were travelling from Darbhanga towards Muzaffarpur around noon. As they reached Adigopalpur Chowk, the car hit the vehicle from behind. The impact was so severe that one of the women died on the spot. The other, who sustained critical injuries, was rushed by local residents to a private hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.The deceased were identified as Nishu Kumari (22), daughter of Sohan Chaudhary of Sarfuddinpur village, and Neha Kumari (20), daughter of Raju Chaudhary of Gopalpur village. Both worked at a finance institution and were on their way to work as usual.

On receiving information, Bochaha police station assistant SHO sub-inspector Rajesh Kumar Singh and assistant sub-inspector Dinesh Kumar reached the spot with a police patrol team. The bodies were taken into custody and sent for postmortem, and an investigation was launched. Police are examining the circumstances surrounding the crash, including the identity of the driver and the cause of the accident.Bochaha SHO Yashwant Kumar Mishra said the matter is under investigation. Police are searching for the absconding driver, and further legal action is being taken.
