Nagpur: A two-year-old boy died after accidentally consuming turpentine, mistaking it for drinking water, in a tragic incident reported from Bidgaon under the jurisdiction of Wathoda police station.The deceased has been identified as Advik Shyam Bhadade. The incident occurred on Sunday evening while the child was playing at home. During play, he wandered near a storeroom where he came across a bottle. Believing it to contain water, he drank the liquid inside.Soon after ingesting the turpentine, the child’s health deteriorated rapidly. He was rushed to hospital, where he died during treatment.Wathoda police have registered a case of accidental death and further formalities are underway.
