New Delhi: Two labourers were injured after the shuttering of an under-construction godown collapsed in Alipur Sunday morning, trapping them under the structure. The two were rescued.The injured labourers were identified as Naresh Pajwan (28) and Sunil (20). They were admitted to the hospital.The incident was reported around 11:04 am at a site on Om Farm House Road near Jain Mandir, Budhpur. Police said the under-construction structure was spread across around 1,000 square yards, with about 100 square yards affected by the collapse.Delhi Fire Services deployed one fire tender. Police personnel also reached the spot along with four ambulances and a Disaster Management vehicle.Preliminary inquiry suggested that the supporting shuttering, or balli, gave way while construction work was underway, causing the structure to collapse. An initial call had suggested that five to six people were trapped however police later said there were no fatalities. Further verification is underway.
