Hazaribag: Two persons were killed and three others injured in separate incidents in the district on Monday.In Shahpur village under Torar panchayat in Katkamsandi, Jageshwar Bhuiyan, 29, died after he was allegedly assaulted.Police said Jageshwar had gone to Madigara on Sunday to carry out plastering work at an under-construction house. When he failed to return, his family began searching for him and learnt that he had been attacked. He was taken to the Katkamsandi community health centre in the early hours of Monday, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.His wife, Phulmati Devi, named six persons in her complaint. Police have arrested two of them and are questioning them.Katkamsandi police station officer in-charge Anupam Prakash said further action would be taken after the postmortem report was received. “Police are investigating the case from all angles,” he added.In another incident, Sikandar Bhuiyan, 27, was killed and Ganesh Bhuiyan, 23, and Chalitra Kumar, 24, were grievously injured after their motorcycle lost balance at Motra Valley on the Badam-Hazaribag road in Barkagaon block on Monday morning.Locals claimed that nearly six persons had died in accidents at the spot earlier. Blaming potholes, scattered stones and the poor condition of the road, they demanded its reconstruction or closure.Barkagaon police station OC, Deepak Kumar, said Sikandar’s body was handed over to his family after autopsy.
