Ranchi: Police on Monday rescued Saurav Paswan, son of Chatra MLA Janardhan Paswan, hours after he was allegedly abducted from outside a private university under Vidhan Sabha police station limits.Saurav, a BA LLB student, was about to enter his SUV near the campus gate when occupants of a black SUV allegedly picked a fight with him, forced him into their vehicle and drove away.After his family raised the alarm, police sealed the city, intensified vehicle checks and raided several locations. A team also examined CCTV footage from the university to reconstruct the incident. Saurav was later found some distance from the campus.SP (city) Paras Rana said the incident followed a clash between two groups of students, who were allegedly under the influence of alcohol. He said the rival group assaulted Saurav and forced him into their vehicle before abandoning him a short distance away.
