Daltonganj: Two men were arrested for the murder of a man in Chainpur police station limits of the district on the night of Feb 27, the police said on Thursday.Yogesh Singh, a resident of Karcha village under Nawa Bazar police station limits, was found dead in a bush by the side of Koyel river on Feb 28. Singh, who was in his mid-twenties, had injuries on his head. Singh’s wife had registered an FIR on Mar 1 and named six people as accused, including one Shiv Pujan Singh.SP Reeshma Rameshan constituted a team under subdivisional police officer (Sadar) Rajeev Ranjan. The team recovered the iron punch which was used to deliver fatal blows to the deceased and his shoes. Two men, including Shiv Pujan Singh (28) and Jay Prakash Singh (23) were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on Thursday. SP said Yogesh was drunk and had a tiff with the duo.
