Patna: The decomposed torsos of two men were found packed inside two separate suitcases in Durgawati river in Kaimur district on Sunday. Heads of both the bodies were missing and the remaining parts of the body were dismembered and stuffed in the the luggage.Around 10am, local residents noticed two suspicious suitcases near the river emitting foul smell. Upon closer inspection, they found the bags filled with chopped human remains. They immediately alerted the Ramgarh police station.Upon arrival, police found the chopped body parts inside the bag. Senior police officers, including Kaimur SP Harimohan Shukla, rushed to the spot.A forensic team arrived and gathered evidence from the spot. The dismembered remains were sent to sadar hospital in Bhabua for the postmortem.Talking to reporters, the SP said no missing persons case matching the description has been reported in Kaimur district so far. “We have alerted neighbouring districts and are working to identify the deceased. The cause and circumstances of the deaths will become clear only after the postmortem and forensic reports come,” he said.
