Hyderabad: A day after CISF constable Sudheer was murdered, the Uppal police on Monday arrested two of his friends.Police said that the accused — Banothu Santhosh and Podishetty Tarun — were cab drivers. They also seized the knife which was used in the offence from their possession. After questioning the accused, the investigators came to know that the dispute between the deceased and the accused had been going on for the last few days. Recently, Sudheer invited the accused for the house-warming ceremony of his sister’s house.When the accused came to the event, Sudheer reportedly did not pick up their phone call. This angered the accused, leading to a heated argument over phone with Sudheer.On Sunday, the accused called up Sudheer and asked him to come to the Chilkanagar ground. “Sudheer came to the spot and demanded to know why Santosh was abusing him. Santosh then whipped out a knife and stabbed Sudheer. The victim tried to flee but Santosh and Tarun overpowered him and stabbed him to death,” the Malkajgiri police said.
