Hyderabad: Animal husbandry minister Vakiti Srihari on Monday said that the governor’s address was a clear reflection of the state govt’s progressive policies, its commitment to people’s welfare, and the development of Telangana. Brushing aside the opposition’s allegations, he said: “The Congress govt is working with unwavering commitment to uphold the trust that the people of Telangana have reposed in it. The govt is moving forward with the objective of ensuring comprehensive development, social welfare, and transparent governance in the state, in alignment with the aspirations of the people.”He highlighted that the governor’s address touched upon several key aspects of the state’s development. He noted that the measures being undertaken by the govt in farmer welfare, women’s empowerment, employment opportunities for the youth, advancements in the education and healthcare sectors, and social justice clearly reflected its plans.“The Congress govt is making rapid strides in fulfilling the promises made to the people. Lakhs of women in the state are benefiting from the free bus travel facility provided under the Mahalakshmi scheme. Providing LPG cylinders for just Rs 500 and offering up to 200 units of free electricity have brought significant relief to poor families,” he said.Srihari remarked that the development of youth is crucial for the state’s future. The govt is striving to create skill development opportunities for youngsters while accelerating efforts to fill vacancies in the govt sector, in addition to 67,000 govt jobs already filled.“Through the department of youth services and sports, the govt is prioritising sports within the state. It is implementing infrastructure development, training programmes, and incentive schemes designed to encourage athletes, from the grassroots level to the international stage,” he said. The minister said the govt is implementing ‘Praja Palana’ programmes to directly understand and resolve issues faced by the people. He added that the govt is engaging directly with the public, from the village level up to the state level, to effectively address their grievances. He affirmed that the primary objective of the Congress govt is the comprehensive development of Telangana across all sectors and the delivery of welfare benefits to every section of society.
