Vadodara: Tribhuvan Sahkari University (TSU) on Monday performed the bhoomi poojan for a new academic complex at the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) campus in Anand, marking a key step in strengthening its academic infrastructure.The ceremony was led by TSU vice-chancellor Dr J M Vyas and attended by IRMA director Dr Saswata Narayan Biswas, National Dairy Development Board chairman Dr Meenesh Shah and GCMMF (Amul) managing director Dr Jayen Mehta, along with faculty members and staff. The complex will be a state-of-the-art facility to support teaching, learning and research. It will have modern classrooms, advanced learning spaces, seminar halls and collaborative areas aimed at fostering innovation and interdisciplinary engagement. Addressing the gathering, Vyas said the project reflected TSU’s commitment to building a holistic learning environment. He said that as India’s first cooperative university, TSU was uniquely placed to groom professionals capable of leading the cooperative sector with integrity and social responsibility. Officials said the new facility would also support executive education programmes, research initiatives and capacity-building efforts for stakeholders across the cooperative ecosystem.
