Vadodara: Commuters and residents took away green coconuts that fell in a rivulet after the truck transporting them met with an accident, near Patiyazol village of Garbada taluka in Dahod district on Friday morning.The truck driver lost control on the bridge near Patiyazol and the truck fell on its side in such a way that most of the coconuts fell into the water below. Commuters saw this, and the word spread in nearby areas. People rushed to the site and took away coconuts by the dozen. Some even entered the river with pieces of cloth to carry more coconuts. Others entered the carriage of the truck to take the coconuts that remained in it. The driver and cleaner of the truck were rushed to a hospital in an ambulance. Sources said that the truck was coming from MP.
