Kanpur: A 27-year-old truck driver was allegedly found hanging at his home in Majhawan village under Bidhnu police station limits on Tuesday morning.The deceased was found hanging from a dupatta by his mother, who informed other family members.According to police, the man had been under severe stress as his wife, who had been living separately for the past year, had refused to return from her parental home.Police said the couple had a dispute about a year ago, following which the woman left the house along with their five-year-old daughter.His mother said her son had repeatedly requested his wife to return, but she refused. She added that this caused him severe mental stress and led to excessive alcohol consumption.According to the family, the man returned home late on Monday night and went to his room. Around 1am, he moved to another room, where he was later found hanging.Bidhnu police said a forensic team inspected the scene and collected evidence. The body was sent for postmortem examination, and further action will be taken based on the report and the family’s complaint.
