Rourkela: Three persons, including a receiver, have been arrested by Sector-7 police here on Thursday in a theft case from a house here. The trio have been identified as Bhusan Naik (20), Sekhar Mukhi (21) and Samir Karmakar (62).While Bhusan Naik and Sekhar Mukhi stole jewellery from the complainant’s house, accused Samir Karmakar received the stolen jewellery.At 11.20 am on May 4, based on the written report of the complainant, Nrusinga Charan Rout of Sector-7, police started investigating. During investigation, the accused persons were arrested on Thursday, and they have been identified as Sekhar Mukhi (20) and Bhusan Naik (20), and they are involved in 2 cases of Sector-7 police station and two cases of Sector-19 police station, and both the accused stated that they sold a pair of gold earrings, a pair of gold bangles, a single anklet, a silver bracelet, two nose rings in three phases. They also revealed that receiver Samir Karmakar also paid them cash of Rs 65,000.Sector-7 police seized two gold finger rings, a pair of gold bangles, a silver plate, a silver glass (both small), a bracelet and three silver necklaces from the possession of receiver accused Samir Karmakar.Further probe is on.*************
