Mandya: Mandya DC Kumara on Thursday conducted a field inspection in Kuvempu Nagar and Gandhi Nagar areas of the city to review the progress of the SIR of electoral roll being carried out as per the directions of the election commission.During the visit, Kumara inspected the ongoing door-to-door verification, revision of the electoral roll, scrutiny of supporting documents submitted by voters, and the work being carried out by booth level officers.Reviewing the on ground progress, he instructed officials to ensure that the process is transparent, accurate and time-bound. Emphasis was laid on verifying all applications meticulously, so that no eligible voter is left out of the electoral roll.The deputy commissioner also directed the booth level officers and other election staff to strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by election commission, even as he asked them to complete the revision exercise within the stipulated timeframe.
