Ahmedabad: An incident of an alleged illegal tree felling is being probed by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation’s parks and gardens department. The tree outside Madhuban Complex near Madalpur underpass in the Ellisbridge area was felled under the cover of darkness. Videos of the incident went viral on social media, prompting the probe. It has been alleged that it was cut down to give a clear view of a billboard. AMC has stated that illegal cutting down or pruning of trees will attract penalties.
