DHARMAPURI: Traders at the old bus stand in Dharmapuri on Monday shut their shops and protested the shifting of bus services to the new bus stand.They demanded that buses be operated from the old bus stand as before. The new bus stand on the Salem-Krishnagiri National Highway was opened last week. The livelihood of traders at the old bus stand was affected since all bus services were shifted to the new bus stand, they said. They said shifting of services to the new bus stand caused inconvenience to the public, students and traders. They submitted a petition to district collector R Sadheesh seeking his intervention in this regard.
