Pune: Pune Rural Police have arrested three men and claimed to have solved three murder cases, including one contract killing. All three cases were reported in Khed taluka of the district.Superintendent of police Sandeep Singh Gill said on Thursday, “We have arrested Lalit Deepak Khollam (38) of Shiroli, Ambegaon; Nandlal Dilip Hole (31); and Nilesh Kailas Sanas (34), both residents of Karegaon, Ambegaon.”“Khollam is a history-sheeter. He was previously arrested under the MCOCA and was released from prison in 2024. As many as 35 cases, including murder, offences against the human body, and robbery, are registered against him,” Gill added.Gill further said, “On March 18, Dhananjay Maruti Ghevade (33) of Khed was found murdered. He had been assaulted to death.”The local crime branch team, headed by inspector Pramod Kshirsagar, conducted a parallel investigation and analysed footage from 110 CCTV cameras along a 145-km stretch from Khed to Vadgaon Nimbalkar. The probe revealed that Khollam, along with his associate Hole, was involved in the murder.
