Nagpur: A 37-year-old woman was allegedly cheated of 8 lakh on the promise of a government job at a special school for children with intellectual disabilities.According to complainant Shilpa Modak, a resident of Jogi Nagar, the accused—Rahul Parate (34), Suresh Patil (41) and Bhushan Katke—approached her between October 2022 and February 2024. They claimed to operate a government-aided hostel for children with intellectual disabilities at Velahari under Beltarodi police limits, along with 2 similar institutions.The trio assured her a permanent government post with a regular salary and collected 8 lakh in instalments. However, no job was provided, and the money was not returned, following which the woman approached Beltarodi police.A case has been registered by Beltarodi police.
