Ahmedabad: The three-day Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) opened at the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre on Thursday with more than 900 exhibitors from 10 countries and tourism boards from across India participating. Chief minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the business-to-business travel exhibition. The event will run till Aug 8.The exhibition has brought together tourism boards, travel companies, hospitality brands, airlines, destination management companies and travel technology firms from India and overseas.Israel is the featured country this year. International participants include Vietnam, Sri Lanka, the UAE, Nepal, US, China, Thailand and Bhutan.

Gujarat is the host state.Addressing the gathering, Patel said, “Gujarat had hosted the travel trade exhibition for two decades. It had strengthened the state’s tourism ecosystem by promoting destinations and business partnerships. The event would help showcase Gujarat’s tourism potential after the state declared 2026 as the ‘Year of Tourism’.”

Tourism departments from Goa, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Rajasthan, Kerala, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka are among the partner states taking part.According to the organisers, Ahmedabad’s growing travel market is reflected in the city’s aviation traffic. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport handled more than 1.38 crore passengers in 2025-26, including 1.14 crore domestic and 24 lakh international travellers.The exhibition will focus on business networking, destination promotion and partnerships between travel buyers and tourism stakeholders from western India.
