New Delhi: A 15-year-old boy is battling for his life after being stabbed multiple times, allegedly by a group of juveniles, in east Delhi’s Kalyanpuri East on Saturday.The attack was the result of a fallout between the minors over the boy’s friendship and online interaction with a girl, police said.The cops registered a case of attempted murder and apprehended all those allegedly involved in the assault. They are around 15 to 16 years old.According to preliminary investigation, the suspects and the victim, who is in a critical condition at a hospital, were earlier part of the same group, but tensions between them were brewing over his social media activities.“The dispute appears to have been triggered by his Instagram interactions with the girl whom he had befriended online,” a police source said, adding that his growing proximity to her did not go well with the others. This reportedly led to friction within the group.On Saturday, the minors allegedly lured the boy to a place before attacking him with knives and stabbing him multiple times. The boys then fled the spot, but police later zeroed in on them.Further investigation is on to ascertain the sequence of events.
