Chennai: A 29-year-old software engineer died after a car rammed his two-wheeler near Perumbakkam. The deceased, identified as Arun, was a native of Tirunelveli district. He was staying in a private hostel in Medavakkam and working at an IT company in Sholinganallur. According to police, the incident occurred when Arun was returning to his hostel after work. While he was near a private hospital in Perumbakkam, a car coming from behind rammed his bike. Arun lost his balance and fell onto the road. The car then ran over him before speeding away. He sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.Upon information, Pallikaranai traffic investigation wing police rushed to the scene and sent the body to Tambaram govt hospital for postmortem. Police registered a case and are searching for the car driver. TNN
