Thiruvananthapuram: Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has cancelled the ongoing tender process for 110 shops at Sabarimala and scrapped the e-auction scheduled for Sept 28 after the confidentiality of the bidding process was compromised. The decision was taken after details of the bidders who had participated in the tender for individual shops were disclosed while the tender process was still underway. The board concluded that proceeding with the e-auction would not ensure a fair and effective bidding process. A fresh tender will be invited for all 110 shops.TDB said its vigilance wing along with the chief security officer would conduct an inquiry into how the confidentiality of the tender process was breached. Strict action will be taken against those found responsible, the board said.
