The family members of an Odia officer heaved a sigh of relief on Sunday, as his LPG-loaded tanker crossed the Strait of Hormuz and is on its way to India. Ashok Kumar Dixit, chief officer of the vessel, was stranded at Ras Laffan anchorage for over a month because of the partial blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. “I spoke to him on Sunday afternoon. He told us that they had crossed the risk zone,” said Smruti Rekha Sahoo, his wife. TNN
