Times News NetworkKanpur: Director General of Uttar Pradesh Krishi Anusandhan Parishad Sanjay Singh, on Monday, conducted a detailed review of all Krishi Vigyan Kendras operating under Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, and laid special emphasis on increasing farmers’ income and taking agricultural technologies to the fields.He called upon the scientists to take modern agricultural methods to farmers through crop model digital mediums, and laid special emphasis on bringing dynamism to the schemes being run in various districts under centres of excellence, including bee-keeping and processing in Aligarh, groundnut processing unit in Mainpuri, potato and market value addition in Etawah, and poultry and goat rearing unit in Fatehpur.Vice-chancellor Sanjeev Gupta said that Krishi Vigyan Kendras should build their identity in their work by achieving specialisation in one or two activities. Rural youth should be empowered through capacity building and skill development, he said.
