Kanpur: The health department on Saturday convened a symposium and organized an awareness rally on the occasion of World Malaria Day.The event, held at the office auditorium of the chief medical officer, provided a detailed information regarding the prevention, symptoms, and treatment of malaria and other vector-borne diseases (VBDs).All additional chief medical officers, including the additional chief medical officer (Vector-Borne Diseases), as well as the deputy chief medical officers and the district malaria officer were present at the occasion.Furthermore, senior malaria inspectors, and VBD staff from the office and the Urban Malaria Unit also attended the event.As part of the program, a rally was organized with the objective of raising public awareness about malaria, in which students from the ANM Training Centre participated.The students were also provided with the detailed information regarding the causes, symptoms, and preventive measures associated with the disease.At the conclusion of the program, the chief medical officer administered an oath to all participants to spread awareness regarding malaria eradication and to adhere to preventive measures.
