Shimla: The Sainik School Sujanpur Tira in Hamirpur district will host the All India Sainik Schools Football Tournament 2026 (Group ‘A’) from April 17 to 22, bringing together teams from the North zone for a competitive sporting event.Around 256 players, accompanied by nearly 17 officials, are expected to participate in the six-day tournament. School principal Group Captain Rachna Joshi said seven teams from different states will compete, including the host institution along with Sainik Schools from Kapurthala, Kunjpura and Nagrota. Other participating teams include Wood’s Park Sainik School Hamirpur, Dayanand Public School Patiala and Royal International Residential School Fatehabad. The tournament aims to provide a platform for young cadets to display their football skills while promoting discipline, teamwork and sportsmanship.
