Patna: Guru Gobind Singh College, Patna City, a constituent unit of Patliputra University ( PPU ) , observed Hindi Diwas with enthusiasm on Monday in which a large number of teachers and students participated. The programme highlighted the importance of the Hindi language and its role in promoting cultural identity and national unity.Head of the Hindi department of College of Commerce, Arts and Science Shrikant Singh who was the chief guest on the occasion, delivered an address on the significance of Hindi Diwas. He said Hindi is not only a medium of communication but also a reflection of India’s rich cultural heritage and traditions. He urged students to take pride in the language and contribute towards its promotion.College principal Manoj Kumar expressed the views on the development and wider use of Hindi in education, administration and daily life. Students also participated in various activities related to Hindi language and literature, he said adding teachers and students participated in the function in large numbers .
