Magadh Mahila College hosted an interactive session on start-ups and entrepreneurship, featuring experts from DMI and HNIMR. Students learned about development-oriented entrepreneurship, innovation, and practical challenges. The college highlighted its initiatives and Bihar government schemes to foster young women’s entrepreneurial spirit and leadership skills, sparking active student engagement.

Patna: The internal quality assurance cell (IQAC) and Incubation Centre of city-based Magadh Mahila College (MMC) on Monday organised an interactive session on “Start-up and entrepreneurship” for the students of the college.Zebarushi from Development Management Institute (DMI), Patna, and Priyanka Singh from Hiraben Nanavati Institute of Management and Research (HNIMR), Pune, were the key resource persons on this occasion.Addressing the students, Zebarushi elaborated on development-oriented entrepreneurship and the role of management education in nurturing socially responsible enterprises. She gave a detailed presentation on key issues related to entrepreneurship. In her deliberation, she explained the concepts of innovation, start-up, incubation, etc. and discussed how one can be an entrepreneur and meet the challenges in the process of setting up start-ups.Priyanka Singh discussed practical aspects of start-up development, challenges faced by entrepreneurs, and opportunities available for young innovators. She explained about career capital, its importance and utility.Earlier, the session began with a welcome address by MMC principal N P Verma who emphasised the importance of entrepreneurship among young women and highlighted the need to nurture innovation and leadership skills in higher education institutions.Incubation centre’s coordinator Sweta Sharan discussed the initiatives undertaken by the college to promote start-ups and entrepreneurial activities. She also discussed the Bihar govt schemes to promote start-ups.Students actively participated in the discussion and got answers to their queries regarding funding, incubation support, and career pathways in entrepreneurship.
