Bengaluru: A 21-year-old engineering student died after a BMTC bus mowed her down on Srinivasapura main road near Uttarahalli Saturday afternoon. The victim is Shirisha NR, a final-year student with RNS Institute of Technology in Channasandra.Shirisha was riding her gearless electric scooter by the side of the BMTC bus (KA-57-F-5071). Accidentally, the two vehicles brushed each other, throwing Shirisha on to the road. She came under the right rear wheel of the bus and died instantly, police said.Bus driver Chandrashekhar was booked for causing death due to negligence.
