Pune: A Std XI student was killed and his two friends sustained severe injuries after their motorcycle collided with an MSRTC bus at Manchar, about 65km from Pune, on Monday afternoon.Pune Rural police identified the deceased as Vir Anil Shinde (17) of Avsari Khurd. A day before the accident, Vir had celebrated his 17th birthday. His friends, Sahil Temkar (17) was shifted to a hospital in Pune and Tejas Bhalerao (17), is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Manchar.A Manchar police officer said, “Vir, Sahil and Tejas had recently passed the SSC examination and enrolled in the science stream at a college in Manchar. Monday was their fourth day of college. They were returning home when their motorcycle collided with an MSRTC bus operating on the Junnar-Kurla route,”Police have registered a case of causing death by negligence against the bus driver.
