Prayagraj: A 13-year-old boy riding a bicycle died after being hit by a speeding tractor near Bhola ka Purwa under Dhoomanganj police station area on Tuesday morning, police said.The deceased, identified as Prince, a resident of Dhoomanganj, died on the spot.Irked over the death of the minor boy, hundreds of locals assembled and blocked the vehicular movement. The errant driver of the tractor managed to escape from the scene. The aggrieved family members, joined by locals, created a commotion at the spot, demanding the immediate arrest of the errant driver.Upon being alerted, senior police officials, including ACP Dhoomanganj, along with police forces, rushed to the spot and pacified the agitating locals. Senior cops assured the crowd that strict action would be taken against the accused driver.Meanwhile, a 42-year-old private school teacher, who was struck by a speeding bike while out for a walk on Sunday, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday. The deceased was a resident of Meerapatti area. Cops have been scanning CCTV footage to ascertain the identity of the biker.
