Prayagraj entrepreneurs gain access to a vast market via UP ITS 4.0

Prayagraj: Entrepreneurs and food businesses from the city generated sales worth over Rs 8 lakh and attracted nearly three lakh visitors during the five-day UP International Trade Show (ITS) 4.0, with several exhibitors also securing domestic and international business leads.Entrepreneurs participating under the MSME category received significant exposure and encouragement for their products and skills at the trade show.Mili Mehrotra, who took part in the MSME category for the first time, described the experience as highly rewarding. Operating from her home in Kalindipuram, she creates garments featuring intricate hand-bead embroidery. Her stall attracted more than 1.25 lakh visitors. In the B2B segment, she received business enquiries from Africa and Australia, with discussions on an MoU expected after final negotiations.Another first-time participant, Prayagraj-based perfume manufacturer Viffas Fragrance, also received a strong response. Its representative, Anwar Azam, said the stall recorded a footfall of over 10,000 visitors and secured a B2B business offer from a buyer in Cameroon. The company also achieved B2C sales exceeding Rs 1.5 lakh, an impressive figure for a small-ticket product such as perfume during its debut appearance at the event.Abhishek Kesharwani of Keshari Grih Udyog Loknath said his stall witnessed a footfall of over 1.5 lakh visitors and received encouraging responses in both the B2B and B2C segments. Since most of his products are sold online, the event helped strengthen his digital business outreach.Praveen Mishra of Gramodyog Bhandar, which showcased Khadi kurtas, said around 70,000 visitors stopped by the stall during the event.Moonj products selected under the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme also received an enthusiastic response. Participants included Prayagraj-based manufacturer The Perfect Bazaar and Tabassum Maqsood of the Bhola Mahila Swayam Sahayata Samuh.Tabassum said despite the presence of several Moonj-product exhibitors, her stall attracted more than 50,000 visitors. Owing to the eco-friendly nature of the products, many visitors collected her contact details for future orders. She sold products worth more than Rs 28,000 during the event.Pawan Kumar Mishra, partner at The Perfect Bazaar, said the unit showcased over two dozen varieties of Moonj products across different categories. The stall attracted about 2 lakh visitors, many of whom enquired about online supply arrangements.Shyam Dairy sales manager Santosh Tripathi said the trade show proved valuable for enhancing the brand visibility of the company’s products.ODOP products from Prayagraj received considerable market attention at UP ITS 2026. Among them were packaged samosas by Munda Snacks, a Balua Ghat-based enterprise. Representing the company, Amit Yadav said packaged samosas worth Rs 40,000 were sold during the event. More importantly, the business established links with e-commerce platforms Flipkart and Walmart, potentially paving the way for online sales and wider market access.
