Prayagraj: A 45-year-old woman identified as Fatima of Ghurpur was mowed down by a speeding dumper, while her husband and son narrowly escaped after the bike carrying them was hit by a speeding dumper near Koraon-Meja road under the limits of Koraon police station on Sunday. Irate over the incident, locals created a ruckus, demanding arrest of the errant driver. Senior police reached the spot to pacify the agitators. The woman, along with her husband and son, was going to attend a function when the accident occurred, said the police. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
