Prayagraj: Acting on its administrative side, the Allahabad high court has transferred 266 additional district and sessions judges (ADJs), ordering them to relinquish their current posts on April 15 and report to their new assignments.Interestingly, in a pleasant surprise, 13 couples will now be able to live together as these judicial officers have got postings in the same districtIn total, the HC administration has changed the jurisdictions of 711 judicial officers, including 266 additional district and sessions judges, 169 civil judges (senior division) and 276 junior civil judges (junior division). In a notification dated Apr 5, the registrar general of Allahabad HC, Manjeet Singh Sheoran, has stated that no transfer-related application would be entertained prior to the taking over of charge at the new place of posting.Several judicial officers have been posted to the high court, the judicial training and research institute (JTRI), Lucknow bench, various tribunals, and govt departments on special assignments, including registrar (judicial), additional director JTRI, special secretary and additional law officer.Transfers have taken place in most of the districts of Uttar Pradesh, including Agra, Aligarh, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Kanpur Nagar, Varanasi, Meerut and Ghaziabad.
