Jaipur: A rashly driven car allegedly hit at least five vehicles in Sanganer late Sunday night, killing three people, including a man and his three-year-old daughter, and injuring three others. The car driver was detained after police intercepted the vehicle following a chase.Police said the speeding car hit a family of four travelling on a motorcycle near Sanganer Stadium around 12.30am Monday. The impact threw all four onto the road, after which an approaching trailer ran over the father and his daughter, killing them on the spot.The deceased were identified as Vishnu (35), a resident of Pratap Nagar Sector-19, and his daughter Srishti (3). Vishnu’s wife, Shweta (32), and their five-year-old son, Chirag, suffered serious injuries and were admitted to SMS Hospital. Their condition was stated to be critical.Malpura Gate SHO Udaybhan Yadav said, “The collision was so severe that the family and motorcycle were thrown several feet onto the road. The father and daughter were then crushed under the approaching trailer.”After the crash, the driver allegedly fled towards Sanganer police station, hitting four more vehicles, including a motorcycle and a scooter, near LMB Chauraha. Police set up a blockade and intercepted the car near Haldighati Gate.Police said the same car also hit another motorcycle near the Sanganer police station U-turn. The rider, Rajendra (35), a Sachivalaya Vihar resident, later died during treatment.Police seized the car, detained its driver and registered a case. CCTV footage from the accident sites is being examined to establish the sequence of crashes.
