Sanjay Sahay | TNNRanchi: Several people had a narrow escape on Sunday when a speeding private car bearing a ‘police’ board crashed into a roadside shop near Johna fall under Angara police station limits in Ranchi district.The vehicle, driven by constable Umesh Mahto, a resident of Rahe, was heading to his place of duty in Ramgarh when he lost control, police said. The crash caused huge damage to the shop, though no casualties were reported. Silli DSP said locals discussed the matter with Mahto and agreed on compensation for the shop owner.
