Kanpur: Police arrested advocate Yogendra Singh, the elder son of 76-year-old Shashikala Singh in Unnao, in connection with her murder after a postmortem report confirmed that she died due to strangulation.Shashikala Singh, a resident of Banduhaar mohalla under the Sadar Kotwali area, was taken to the district hospital late on Thursday evening by Yogendra Singh. After examination, doctors declared her dead. The death was initially described as natural. Case took a new turn when the deceased’s younger son, Gyanendra Pratap Singh, accused Yogendra of murdering their mother and demanded a postmortem.
