Patiala: AAP’s Punjab affairs incharge Manish Sisodia on Thursday paid obeisance at the Mata Shri Kali Devi Temple here on the first day of Chaitra Navratri and reviewed ongoing renovation works.Accompanied by his family and health and family welfare minister Dr Balbir Singh, Sisodia offered prayers for peace, prosperity and progress. He also performed a havan and extended Navratri greetings to devotees.During the visit, Sisodia, along with minister Balbir Singh, mayor Kundan Gogia and deputy commissioner Varjeet Walia, took stock of renovation work at the temple. He said the shrine holds national significance and that development works would be completed by the next Navratri.Emphasising humility in religious service, Sisodia said no individual should claim credit for building temples, as service and devotion are central to Sanatan Dharma.A large number of devotees were present on the occasion.
