Times News NetworkKanpur: Shreyanshu Ranjan and Shreyanshi Ranjan won double titles in boys’ and girls’ group in Ragendra Swarup Under-15,17 and 19 badminton tournament which concluded here on Monday evening.Shreyanshu, a trainee of RSSA, won the boys’ Under-15 and 17 singles titles. In U-15, he defeated his team mate Parth Jauhari by 15-13, 07-15, 15-09. In the Under-17, he drubbed Yash Tiwari after losing the first game by 12-15, 15-12, 17-15 in a very well contested final.Ayush Kumar won the U-19 single title beating Prakhar Maurya in two straight games by 15-8,1 5-12.Pair of Hammad Khan & Vaibhav Tripathi humbled Parth Jauhari & Shan Singh by 116-14, 15-10 and collected the title of U-15 doubles event. Rudra Luthra & Pranjal beat Shreyanshu Ranjan & Parth Jauhari by 12-15, 16-14, 16-14 and won the U-17 doubles crown. The pair of Prakhar Maurya & Ayush Kumar defeated Dhruv and Ganesh by 15-10, 15-11 and won the U-19 doubles title.In the girls’ group, Shreyanshi won U-17 and 19 single titles. In U-17, she outplayed Siddhi Jha 15-07, 16-14 and in U-19, she drubbed again Siddhi Jha by 15-09, 15-11. Aradhya Mehrotra of TSH won the U-15 single title defeating Aradhya Tripathi by 15-9,15-4.TSH pair of Aradhya & Anya Kaur beat Kavya & Vibha of Green Park by 15-8,15-6 and won the U-15 double title. Siddhi Jha & Sreyanshi Ranjan beat Anahita Gupta & Aditri Katiyar by 15-6, 15-9 and won the U-17 crown.After the finals, Dhirendra Singh, vice-president of Kanpur Badminton Association, Maheep Saxena, international umpire and referee Ravi Dixit, Ashutosh Satyam Jha and Pradeep Yadav gave away trophy, certificate and memento to the winners and runner up players.
