Kanpur: Samajwadi Party national general secretary Shivpal Yadav on Sunday urged party workers in Etawah to prepare for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. The party aims to oust Bharatiya Janata Party and form a govt led by Akhilesh Yadav, he said.Accusing the BJP govt of corruption and dishonesty, he claimed that people have decided to remove it and said that the SP would form the govt in 2027 under the leadership of Akhilesh Yadav.Addressing the media after a district working committee meeting at Zila Panchayat auditorium, Yadav said that workers should take SP’s policies and ideas to every household. He said they should work hard now as the election was approaching and SIR has begun for one month.On SP’s alliance with Congress, Yadav said that it existed in Uttar Pradesh and would continue. Congress would follow its own policies, while the leadership of both parties would decide seat-sharing through mutual discussions, he said.Yadav claimed INDI alliance would remain intact and that both parties would contest the election together and form the govt.Referring to Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Yadav alleged there had been considerable dishonesty under his leadership. He said the entire opposition has turned against Kumar and his alleged dishonesty would come to light.Commenting on changes in Congress’s state executive, Yadav said they were an example of PDA.
