Nagpur: A 30-year-old man was arrested from Narsala village for allegedly molesting minor girls in Hudkeshwar and adjoining localities. The accused, identified as Atul Suryavanshi, was remanded to judicial custody after multiple cases were registered against him on June 30.Police said Suryavanshi allegedly targeted girls in residential areas, near playgrounds and shops, often approaching them on a scooter when they were alone or with friends.In one case, a 15-year-old girl alleged that the accused grabbed her hand and molested her, following which a case was registered under relevant sections, including provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.In another incident reported from Swagat Nagar, a 15-year-old girl alleged that Suryavanshi made obscene gestures and molested her while she was playing badminton with a friend. He fled when confronted by the girl’s father.During the probe, police found that the accused had allegedly targeted several girls in the area, triggering fear among residents. Police are verifying whether more victims are involved and have appealed to citizens to come forward with information. Further investigation is underway.
