Jamshedpur: The security forces recovered 14 live IEDs from the forest on the borders of West Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan district on Sunday. Along with the live IEDs, weighing 2kg each, the security forces also recovered a country-made hand grenade, ammonia nitrate powder, firecracker powder and a steel container.The explosives were defused at the spot in a controlled way by the bomb disposal squad of the West Singhbhum police.West Singhbhum police said that a combing operation was launched in the jungle area spreading across Toklo thana in Singhbhum and Kuchai thana in Seraikela on Saturday on receiving intelligence about Maoists concealing the explosives to target the security forces. The security forces comprising Jharkhand Jaguar (JJ), CRPF 60 Battalion and police of the two adjoining districts recovered the explosives earlier in the morning.
