Mangaluru: The SDM Educational Society will organise ‘SDM Udyogam-2026′, a two-day job fair, at Ujire on April 6 and 7, offering more than 4,000 vacancies across multiple sectors.The event is being held in collaboration with SDM College (Autonomous), SDM Institute of Technology and SDM Polytechnic College, Ujire. Organisers said over 100 companies have already registered to take part in the recruitment drive, where interviews will be conducted on the spot for eligible candidates.Registration for job seekers has been made free. According to organisers, more than 2,000 candidates have already enrolled for the fair through a Google Form created for the purpose.The participating companies represent a broad range of industries, including IT and software development, pharmaceuticals, banking and finance, ITES, sales and marketing, retail, education, tourism and hospitality, accounting and tax consultancy, manufacturing, automobile, telecom and media, construction and infrastructure, and financial consultancy.Candidates with qualifications ranging from PUC to postgraduate and professional degrees are eligible to participate. These include BA, BBA, BCom, BCA, BSc, BVoc, ITI, diploma, engineering, BTech, BEd, MA, MCJ, MSW, MCom, MCA, MSc, MBA and GNM Nursing. Final-year students from various educational institutions across the taluk have also been invited.Organisers said the entire registration and selection process has been designed as a paperless, online system. Special software developed for the fair will enable candidates to receive interview results directly on their mobile phones, making the recruitment process faster and more transparent for both employers and applicants.
